TOUR | SAINT MOTEL brings Cali to the EU
Tonight, Los Angeles' own indie pop band Saint Motel will take to the stage at London's Scala, playing tracks off their latest album 'saintmotelevision', as well as the string of hits and fan-favourites they've racked up over the last few years.
Saint Motel, comprised of A/J Jackson (keys, guitar and vocals), Aaron Sharp (lead guitar), Dak Lerdamornpong (bass) and Greg Erwin (drums) initially formed when A/J and Aaron attended film school.
An unusual beginning for a band, right? Maybe not so much.
Upon following the group's artistic journey beyond their music, their talent extends to the visual: involvement in music videos, album art, and the visual effects to complement their live performances.
With the latest album's musical and lyrical content very much a homage to the film and television medium, it's easy to see that visual creativity plays a large part in the growing appeal and success of this unique and ever-so talented Californian band's development.
So, before tonight's gig and the European leg of the 2017 tour kicking off in Paris, France on Saturday, now's the time to check out the hottest band to hit our airwaves in 2017.

"Gotta get up. Gotta get up. MOVE!" It's simply impossible not to dance along to this track. There's a definite seventies flavour here, balanced incredibly well with their contemporary sound.

With another interactive video to complement their latest album release, 'Born Again' is a contemplative track with a moderate pace. It's not a party anthem, but it's just as illustrious with its introspective, spiritual message.
