'THOR: RAGNAROK' is Marvel's best film yet

'Thor: Ragnarok' is the third 'Thor' instalment amongst the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) that tells the story of the mighty Thor, who finds himself in a lethal gladiatorial contest against the Hulk - his former ally. Thor must fight for survival, racing against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela from destroying his home and the Asgardian civilisation.

With Kiwi actor/director Taika Watiti ('What We Do In The Shadows', 'Hunt for the Wilder People') at the helm, it should be no surprise to audiences as to what they are in for with this latest instalment.

The 'Thor' films are great in that they're each so unique. While many of the other standalone films in the MCU (think the 'Iron Man' and 'Captain America' films) have become more grim and 'realistic', 'Thor: Ragnarok' is just plain enjoyable.

Cate Blanchett's Hela is one of the best MCU villains yet. Her arc is fully developed, complementing Mark Ruffalo's incredible Hulk - finally getting a speaking part. Tessa Thompson's alcoholic valkyrie warrior badass completes this line-up of incredible actors portraying their characters to a tee.

With brief appearances from Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange (as was hinted in a 'Doctor Strange' post-credit scene), to Matt Damon's parody of Tom Hiddleston's Loki, and Sam Neill's parody of Anthony Hopkins' Odin, cinema-goers will relish the fine acting and clever scripting from start to finish.

The film is full of colour, compelling you to perhaps see it at the cinema again... and again. 'Thor: Ragnarok' is by far one of the best Marvel films to date, high up there with the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' duology.

With unmissable action sequences and a dark storyline, audiences can be assured their money is well spent on this exceptional Marvel film.

'Thor: Ragnarok' is in cinemas worldwide from October 26th.
