Meet Teddy Edwards - the 18-year-old NYC musician ready to take over the world
Teddy Edwards. Singer, songwriter and producer. From New York City. Majorly talented. Also only 18 years old.
Edwards (not to be confused with the late jazz musician of the same name) has really been making a name for himself within the creative industry this year.
With an album due out late 2017, Edwards has worked closely with production duo The Agency (Meek Mill, Nas, 2 Chainz, Young Thug), and it's set to be a smash.
Notably, Grammy-nominated mix engineer and co-producer Andrew Wuepper (who has worked with and given birth to the careers of Frank Ocean, Justin Bieber and Rihanna), has hand-picked Edwards in order to work on and establish his vision. Teddy has been highly influenced by the experimental pop songwriting of artists like Frank Ocean and Tame Impala, taking risks in his production and writing to create a raw, untapped, trippy body of work in his latest single, 'Tell Me How It Is'.
A couple months ago, Edwards' single 'Always Be There' was released, gathering 60,000 plays on SoundCloud - and it's still growing.
