FAMILY FILM THIS CHRISTMAS | 'Paddington 2'

Everyone’s favourite friendly and marmalade-loving bear is back on the big screen.

Paddington (voiced by Ben Whishaw) is happily settled with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens, where he has become a popular member of the community. With the desire to purchase a unique pop-up book of London for his Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, Paddington works a series of odd jobs and saves his wages over time. But when the book is stolen, it’s up to Paddington and the Browns to find the thief.

The entire cast is marvellous in this family sequel. Whishaw is delightful as the voice of Paddington, and Hugh Grant steals the film as the antagonist with his surprising and entertaining performance. Great performances from supporting cast Brendan Gleeson, 'Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins and Mrs Weasley herself, Julie Walters.

Paul King returns as Director for this fun family film, which is very entertaining from beginning to end. The dialogue is witty, with few references made of Grant’s real-life persona, where he pokes fun at himself.

The CGI animation of the title character is perfectly designed and blends well with the live action.

Just like the first film, 'Paddington 2' is perfect viewing for the whole family. This much-anticipated sequel will not be a disappointment for fans and is an absolute must-see this Christmas.

‘Paddington 2’ is in cinemas everywhere.
