Aussie Rapper Matt Xander returns with hard-hitting music video
Aussie rapper Matt Xander returns with hard-hitting distortion in 'Rat Race' - the second single from his 'Fornicating Arachnids' EP.
In the track, Xander calls out corporate greed and explores the perils of being stuck in the full-time work routine. It's kind of like Rihanna’s “work, work, work, work, work, work” but from someone who’s actually worked the 9-5 grind.
Produced by Cory Blight (Over-Reactor, Dukes of Windsor), 'Rat Race' mixes hip-hop and Industrial to create a bleak sense of no escape from the race.
The memorable music video - shot by Over The Quarry Productions, showcases a work environment in an Orwellian dystopia, with emotionless staff voyeuristically observed 'Big Brother' style by those controlling the vermin. The Rat Race is a place you never wanted to enter and can’t see a way out of. Kind of like Ikea.
'Rat Race' is available on Matt Xander’s 'Fornicating Arachnids' EP - out now on CD and all digital formats.
