FUNKO ANNOUNCEMENT! | Huge Pop! Vinyl Release List from the London Toy Fair
Funko recently treated us to some HUGE news, with their reveal at London Toy Fair plentiful to say the least.
A new image (either concept art or the finished product with packaging) was released nearly half hourly at the event, leaving the entire community buzzing in near-disbelief.
Here are our 'Top 5 Most Anticipated Items' from the Funko list!
5
Taz (chase version), 'Space Jam'
If you aren't lucky enough to have been a kid when 'Space Jam' hit theatres in March of 1997, then you may look to this figure with much confusion. Why is the Tasmanian Devil wearing a basketball kit? And who are all these monsters? If you're asking such questions, then we highly recommend a 'Space Jam' viewing soon. Twenty years later and it still holds up as a live action/animated classic. The Taz figure is an excellent representation of his film version - perfectly proportioned and and just as mean. Even if you don't like the film, who doesn't love Taz? Check out the rest of the collection, too!

L, 'Death Note'
While this is another figure from a series of books and a film that many may not yet be aware of, for those of us who are, there's a great air of excitement surrounding it. L is a detective (of sorts) in a case involving the many mysterious deaths plaguing the nation. He's eccentric and borderline insane, and once again, Funko has nailed such characteristics to perfection. His skin tone is darker and his looks are generally dishevelled. An amazing figure that is no doubt at the top of many buyers' lists. Looks like this figure is part of a fantastic new collection, that's for sure!

Clayface, 'Batman' animated series, Wave 2
On paper, this looks insane! His 'folds' of clay, his dark empty eyes... it's exactly what we need in a Clayface Pop! Our only reservation is how well it's going to translate to vinyl. It is always tricky to judge, especially when the figure has a untraditional Pop! body shape, but if Funko manages to pull it off (which we are certain they will), this is set to be the best of the bunch, and another top seller. This will be an interesting collection to see in the flesh (or vinyl, as it were).
2
Joey Ramone
He's one of the most iconic punks in music history. What else needs to be said? Though we're not sure that Funko collectors will be as excited for the Ramone figure compared to the others announced at the fair, it does have potential in expanding the Funko Pop! Vinyl collection into the punk and music scene. Fans of the muso with no awareness of the Pop! figures will be delighted to have a little Joey of their own, and once they pick him up who knows what dark and dangerous path these new collectors might venture down? (And just check out the Jimi Hendrix figure!)

The entire Nickelodeon 90s set
Ok, we'll admit it. When we first saw this set we freaked out! 'Rugrats? Real Monsters?? Cat-Dog??? Our inner-child cannot contain its excitement! So much nostalgia and childhood, perfectly captured in vinyl form. Much like Joey Ramone, we feel this will open up the floodgates for new collectors. However, keen-eyed buyers will notice that there are a fair few characters missing, but this could only mean one thing: a second wave, and maybe even a third! It's an excellent decision by Funko, and one that will leave us all a little more penniless come their release.
Now, without further ado, here are the remaining images of those released at the London Toy Fair - we really couldn't be more excited!
So, what do you think? There are so many to choose from... we'd love to hear your Top 5! Let us know your thoughts HERE, and as always, stay tuned for more.
